I wish to inform and confirm from experts whether ITR2_2018_PR1.2 excel schema has error and anyone facing it.

In ITR2 excel, in Schedule VIA I have entered my Savings Account interest Sec 80TTA which is more than Rs 10000. The right column should get Rs 10000 but it is not happening. My Excel has enable content and all macros are running.

Can someone please confirm if they facing this problem?

No problem faced as such.

Fill the data in interst income, also the total income in the sheet and then validate it.

Sir, But the rebate of Rs 10000 under Sec 80TTA is not reflecting on my excel schema. That is the problem faced in Schedule VIA.

If the rebate does not reflect then I have to unnecessary bear tax of Rs 3100.

So sorry state of your utility.......... No such problem faced by our unit....

Either the interest from bank accounts may not have been added to other income or may be java update required in your system........ But its your individual problem, not with utility.

One more question:

AY 2018-19, ITR2 Schedule SALARY is pretty different than others wherein all allowance details and perks is to be mentioned.

In this year ITR2, which line can we display Rs 19200 exempt conveyance allowance?

Should we select Any Other in 7 iv) 1)  and enter Conveyance Allowance and mention Rs 19,200?

" Should we select Any Other in 7 iv) 1)  and enter Conveyance Allowance and mention Rs 19,200?"

Yes...... Correct.......

Thanks Dhirajlal Sir,

By doing all this, do you agree that Income Tax Department is creating more confusion in the ITR forms?

Better than this they should have asked assessee to enter the income data as it appears on Form 16? Gross Salary in first line, Perquisites on second line, Tax on employment on 3rd line, Conveyance allowance on 4th line....and so on.

Inspite of declaring Conveyance Allowance in exempt allowances, I still have to subtract the Gross Salary of Form 16 by the same conveyance allowance and write that on Line 1. So much of confusion.

Very bad structuring of the ITR forms.

They are trying and slowly improving...... much better positioned then offline filing and follw-ups !!

Generally, the ITR forms must be structured with flow of entries as per two segments of taxpayers:

1) Salaries class (ITR to follow the same flow as mentioned in Form 16)

2) Business Class (ITR to follow the same flow as that of a standard P&L statement)

But our ITR forms for salaried still require manual subtractions of exempt allowances to arrive at Taxable income.
