No you can't , just it's an alert. You show actual figures only
Thanks for your reply. but how can I rectify that validation error?
Upto 20lacs exemption doesn't mean you can claim full.. Deduction is available as per form 16 only
Submit return ignoring the intimation

I am facing similar issue. How can I submit the form ignoring the error?

i am also facing the same issue and no way to validate it.

could you please suggest, how to validate it

Hey guys any luck on this

I don't see any option to proceed with the submission ignoring this error.

Is there any workaround for this issue..? Should I go for offline mode for filing??

Yes you just delete 10(10) and then add again

If you are submitting ITR-2 and encountering a validation error stating that the gratuity amount should not exceed Rs. 20,00,000, it's likely because there is a misunderstanding or an error in the way you are entering the gratuity amount or claiming the exemption.

Gratuity is a statutory benefit provided to employees by their employers as a form of gratitude for the services rendered by the employee. In India, the gratuity received by an employee is exempt from income tax up to a certain limit, as per the Income Tax Act, 1961.

If you are unsure about how to proceed, it's best to consult a tax professional or seek assistance from the Income Tax Department's helpdesk to resolve the issue and successfully file the ITR-2.

Apart from all of the above, I would like to suggest you ,going out of the box , just sign out ......& sign in again after some time , maybe the file will be validated .
