Dear All, During the last year I had salary income, little bank interest, commission from sale of insurance policies as insurance advisor, small equity trading speculative losses on NSE and I also holds equity shares of a company which is not listed on stock exchange till march 2012. Please guide me which ITR form to be used for filing my IT return and how I can show my equity holding and how can I carry forward my speculative losses for the next year. Thanks in advance.

Dear Harinder u have to file ITR 4

1. For salary Income there is column just below the schedule of total income.

2. Bank interest goes to Income from Other Source.

3.Commission income u can put in Profit/Loss A/C as any other incomes Coloumn.

4.Speculative losse u should first calculate and then gross sales value during the year shown in sale column and exp

in their column & now Speculative losses is treated as business losses to carried forward it u should file the return on time and u should maintain detail of unlisted companies should be shown as investment.
