You can file your Income Tax Return (ITR) offline for the financial year 2018-19 under specific circumstances. This paper mode is exclusively for super senior citizens (aged 80 or over) and is limited to ITR forms 1 and 4. These returns must be submitted in person to designated Income-Tax Department offices. The deadline for filing FY 2018-19 returns has been extended to 31st July 2020.
Paper mode of furnishing return is permissible only in case of super senior citizens (i.e. an individual of the age of 80 years or more at any time during the previous year) And for above mentioned super senior citizens, only ITR 1 and ITR 4 is allowed to file in paper form. You can file above form at the designated offices of Income-tax Department, along with duly signed Form ITR 1/4. In case of paper returns the information in certain columns which is being auto- populated in online return, has to be computed and furnished by the taxpayer manually. Last date for F.Y 2018-19 is 31st July,2020 Ann For F.Y 2019-20 it's 30th November, 2020
