I live in a rented house and am going to submit my IT return. I will be getting an IT refund of Rs.1500-Rs.2000. Earlier, I used to get refund at my home address to deposit at the bank. Has the procedure changed or will I get it at my house as usual?
Also, for the time period 1-4-13 to 31-3-14, that is, A. Y. 2014-15, can I submit my return after 31st July?
You will receive the refund directly in your bank account. You may file belated return, but if you make any mistake in that, you cannot revise it.
From this year, paper cheque refunds have been rolled back.
Only direct credit to bank account shall be the method.Take all care that bank particulars are correct.
Yes, you can file after 31st of july, but you shall not be able to revise if you find any mistake in it at any later date.So filing before 31st july is advisable.
