Issue form 16 more than one employers

Dear All,

please take a note that, i have 1 queried regarding Form16A issued by pervious company.

example as belowe

Previous company "A" and Current Company "B"

Employee Name is "Ramesh"

Mr. Ramesh earned income from company "A" of Rs. 3,50,000/- and Company "A" Deducted TDS of Rs. 15,450/-.

Now Mr. Ramesh changed his service and worked in Company "B" and his income in current company of Rs. 6,00,000/-

if Company "B" calculate actual tax liabilites of Mr. Ramesh then where to update TDS and Income details of previous employer i.e. "A" in form 16.

please guide to me, where to udpate previous company income tax and TDS details form 16.

i am waiting for your reply.

Company 'B' cannot deduct TDS on the whole salary (6 lacs) because Ramesh would be joined the company from the middle of the year. 'B' may deduct TDS on the salary receiveable by Ramesh for the relevant financial year after considering also the previous employer's form 16. In case Ramesh has made certain deductible investments, he may declare it to 'B' and 'B' shall accordingly adjust the TDS deduction.

You can show under any other Income declared by an employee.

But, In form 16 you can show only those those part of TDS which is deducted by you.

The best thing you could do is to demand Form 16 from Ramesh which would be given to him by his previous company.

 

Now calculate his income tax liability on his total income (previos + this employer)

 

Deduct the amount of tax already deducted as shown in Form 16 from the above laibility.

 

What you got is the amount your company has to deduct as TDS.
