Hi Everyone, Congratrs to all of u cleared the May 2012 Exams and best of luck to others....

One thing which I noticed from these results is that a lot of my friends flunked in ISCA... They passed in other subjects (in some cases even exemption in others) but because of ISCA they could not clear their entire group...They all are very sad and disappointed because of this....

Why it is so difficuilt to clear ISCA forget about getting good marks??

Please share your study tips, Books to be referred, How to Write the answers, Presentation, etc to clear ISCA

Especially people who have cleared May 2012 Exam..How did they do it??

Hii,

I cleared in the recently declared results....i got lowest in ISCA...47 (Roll no. 173205)....i followed ICAI module with additions 4m Dinesh Madan....

ISCA is a bane from students point f view....but we must hv knwldge f IT....i suggest ICAI to divide 100 marks as 60 for ISCA n 40 for Strategic Mgt. (SM)...lyk ipcc..

Books i suggest is....Manish Valechha + ICAI Module.....any damn thing can come in isca...be prepared 4 d worst....scanner is irrelevnt here...

dont go for memorising....just remember points using acronyms....den elaborate using ur own knwldge....

i really dont understand y is tis subject included in the syllabus....me thinking of just memorising the points...like v used to do it in our school days....no oder choice.....

I am also agree with rupesh...

l cleared my CA final 2nd group in may 2011. I secured 58 marks in ISCA. The book i reffered - study mat (for first reading) and Manish Valechha + practice manual.

I secured exemption in ISCA in Nov 2011 my score was 84 (very easy paper compare to May 12), i referred Manish M Valechha along with study and practice manual.

Two times failed in isca May 2011 and Nov 2011 by using Dinesh Madan (so called easy book compare with institutes study material it is totally off track). This time i got 68 marks in ISCA. My Suggestion for ISCA - Institutes Study Material (It is must bcoz all questions are asked from the study material) + Manish Valechha ISCA Book (The Best Examination Textbook) + Institutes Practice Manual + RTP's for Last 3-5 attempts.

ISCA ic the subject which is very difficult as well as so easy.... I have Cleared CA BCOZ OF ONLY ISCA.... I Got 71 Marks in Isca My..roll no. 166707.. thanks to SWAPNIL PATNI SIR & CLASSES AT PUNE...

Thanks everyone for ur suggestions.....

I have Dinesh Madan book. I read from it What happen with me is I dont understand the concept or I dont know what... I start to cram it up........ and then when I reopen the book all gone...

I think I should refer Study Material which is more elaborative and more explainatory...

But guys is there is any expected way or presentation of answers as per ICAI which we are lacking in scoring so low in this subject???

Presentation given in manish valechha ISCA textbook is awesome. it is useful for both understanding the concepts (many examples, pictorial resentations are given for difficult portion of the subject) as wel as for cramming (it also gives memory code to learn heading). it is fully study module based. you can study from it.

i refered manish velacha.I studied only 3/4th of the syllabus.Cleared with 60 marks.Just remeber the codes and write it exactly as it is given.Thats all i can say and thats the only way one can score marks.No shortcuts available.And lastle whatever u study just ensure u study it thoroughly.
