I have this calci.While reading on icai sit it mentions

13. Use of Calculator

 

Candidates will be allowed to use battery operated portable calculator in CPT. The calculator can be of any type with upto 6 functions, 12 digits and upto two memories. Attempt to use any other type of calculator not complying with the specifications indicated above or having more features than mentioned above shall tantamount to use of unfair means. Scientific Calculator is not allowed.

No,this calculator is not allowed as it has 7 functions:add,subtract,multiply,divide,percentage,square root and tax.

Yes,It is allowed,Don't worry it is a very commonly used model,Moreover keep habit of using check & currect buttons to review your calculation.

@ Vikram : Tax button is not restricted.We have used such calculators,Problem is only with Scientific Calculators

Vikram the model you mentioned also have square root. Even i guess this is a normal caclis and i have seen students buying such models during exam time.But wording wise i agree its not allowed. Main reason being 2 memories whereas these models store upto 120 steps.Plus tax button. But problem now is these all models are basic else one gets small pocket caclis which is tedious to use. So i am confused.

theres no problem with using this calci in cpt. But avoid it because you are not allowed to use a calculater with tax function at ipcc and final ,the rest of the functions are okay. look for a citizen ct-512. or a calci which has the same functions as ct-512
