Is there really a hope of increase in marks?

you know it...you can not take for granted for any action of ICAI..the reason could be anything, I have seen cases where students getting 58 or 59 in the consecutive attempts and each time student applied for verification and all,but not a single marks had been changed. See the thing is that you should hope on a least side that it would not get increased and should continue your preparation leaving aside the probable result of verification. In this way if marks gets increased It's great but if not you will not regret of expecting for least.

There is a possibility but don't lose focus on preparations expecting a change in marks.

Unless you know the result of verification, you can't say anything. Sometimes the wait would be long but only to know in the end that no marks have changed.

So as suggested by CA Nitish, its advised to remain focussed on next exams and leave the verification results to god.
