Hi, can some one help out on this subject.

Is there a statutory obligation on the part of the employer to provide medical reimbursement to employees whose salary is above Rs. 15,000/- and not eligible for ESI under the labour law?

Statutory obligations are follows:-Employment injury must be a personal injury, 2. It must be caused to an employee,3. It must becaused during the employment 'arising out of and in the course of his employment' 4. It may be caused by an accident or occupational desease, 5. The person to whom employment injury is caused must have been insured. 6. It may have been occured within or outside the territorial limits of India.

Thank you.

I need a bit more clarification on this.

Does this obligation requires the employer to pay medical allowances.

And is the reimbursement is only for accidents occured during employment or for any other disease also.

And is in which sec. of the law it is stated.
