Is medical expense for a relative and fee spent on part time course tax deductible?

Question 1: I paid a bill at a hospital, via netbanking for the treatment for my uncle. Can I claim a deduction for my contribution as medical expense for a dependent?

Question 2: I'm pursuing a part time masters course. Is at least the tuition fee part of the fees, eligible for tax deduction? I'm paying the fee myself.

1) you can't claim deduction for your uncle medical expenses paid by you under section 80D

2) You can't claim tuition fee deduction for own study under section 80C
agree with Mr. jatin
U can uncle medical expenses under 80DD but tuition fee not allowed
UNDER 80DD also you can't claim

That's true. 80DD mentions "Dependant shall mean spouse, children, parents and siblings".

I just saw there is also 80DDB for dependent relative. "Medical Expenditure on Self or Dependent Relative for diseases specified in Rule 11DD".

So now the question is whether I would be able to claim the amount, because it was not just me, but also other family members who contributed to the total expense. As of now I don't have the bill, but I think I can get it from my cousin. The transaction was done by bank transfer directly to the hospital, so I always have my account statement to show as proof.

So am I eligible to claim the deduction?

still your uncle will not fall under relative explanation
