Is it necessary (essential) for a Public Limited Company to list its shares in any Stock Exchange ???
Please provide the section which explains the above query.

No, It is not compulsory .

Yes, it is liable to FBT under section 115WB(2)(G)

no, it is not necessary at all.

no it is not mandatory.........listing is at the option of the company.

no section under companies act specific ally mentions this.

a public company can be unlisted... example: a closely held company.

IF a Public limited Co invites public for subscripttion, then it has to compulsory make an application for listing
