Is it necessary (essential) for a Public Limited Company to list its shares in any Stock Exchange ???
Please provide the section which explains the above query.

a public company can be unlisted... example: a closely held company.

IF a Public limited Co invites public for subscripttion, then it has to compulsory make an application for listing
