Is it impossible to get rank in ca final?

Hi friends,

actually i had my CA final attempt in Nov-2011, but bcozof some personal reasons....am not giving it in november.

so am gonna write it in may-2012.

still i am pending with DT and ISCA coaching.

i will start them after november.

As i am waiving an attempt and having plenty of time.......i set my target to stand in merit list of CA final in May-2012.

but my frns are discouraging me that getting rank in CA final with no perfect coaching is not at all possible.

so please any one guide me how to get a rank.

i will start my full length preparation from december and mean while continuing office and studies for sum time.

please guide any strategies to secure rank.

and also advice whether these books are adequate to bag gud rank securing marks

Law- Munish Bandari hand buk and ICAI practice manual.

Auditing-Surbhi bansal's book and practice manual.

Accounting standards- DS Rawat

FR and SFM - notes of a local faculty from hyderabad.

Costing - Sampath sirs notes

ISCA - swapnli patnis material and iCAI practice manual

IDT - please suggest any book, as yet i have to decide upon in.

................................please guide me.

Hello Dear Friends,

Have CA Final Practice Manuals (January 2011). Bought but coudnt use if anyone interested do let me know..!

As we all know that the same is very important for CA Final studies so anyone appearing in Nov'11 and specially couldnt get it from the branch office may contact me...!

(Have it for Paper 4 to 8 along with some other important notes)

Dear Spandana,

Beleive in your self .Nothing is impossible. This is good 9 months time to crack a Rank. While preparing for Rank - just ensure that you understand every concept and work on applicaiton. This has to be a consistent study plan and the pace has to slowly increase.

Work on topics which you think - may need more time in next 4 months. Identify your top 4 strong and 4 moderate subjects. Mix 2 moderate and 2 strong subjects as Prep for next 3 months. Prep as if you are going to write exam in December so that there is no lag in preparation. Similar approach from Dec to Feb for next 4 subjects.

Identify professors whom you think can add value to your preparation schedule. Keep yourself busy by also reading relevant articles and Cases as your prep.

Hope to see you in top 10 Rank in may 2012 results.
