Is ICAI Bias towards West and Central region Students ?

I would like to draw the attention of all CA student and members towards the CPT, PE- II, PCC and Final result pattern.

Don't you think CA institute is a bit bias towards these 2 region, As Most (not all) the rank holder is from these two region. Even passers are more from west and central Region.
By the term 'Bias' here I mean   ICAI is a bit lenient in examining they answer sheet.
People will think that I am saying this because I could not clear, BUT this is not so, I have cleared my both the group in Nov, 2008 with good marks.

But since I personally felt that, it compelled me to write this forum....
Let me be very clear- I am not saying that the student from these two region are not good in study or they do not deserve to pass, but ICAI is not stiff in checking papers unlike of others regions. I am also seen that some of my friend from Rajasthan whose paper did  not went well, also qualifies.
This is my personal view. And not meant to indicate or refer some particulars person(s).
Regards..............!

I am purely from south, i have seen from my PEII that many of the rank holders r from north. As manmohan said  i couldn't differntiate

it from western or central region. Most of the rank holders names r in northern style. I did not argue that they r not qualified, but y the Top ranks r not received by all parts of india.

Also i happen to know that they appear in Hindi, could this b the reason?

Friends i am just expressing the opinion i have. And of course i do accept with Manmohan.

Dear friends,

why do you think such kind of thing.

it shows your narrow thinking only. their have been presidents from rajasthan as well as south.

and in all times rajasthan gave good results.

why do you have such narrow thinking sir.

this is showing your mentality to distribute the people in parts. rajasthani people are also hardworking, expert in management.

even you can see the cat results sir. you should not post such types of topics showing the danger to integrity of institute.

we all should be loyal to our institute and should have faith in our institute. sir proud to be an indian only and only.

your 100% correcrt mr.

Oh com'n you people out there...

How can u even think like that??

I'm from Western Region.. Though many of my eligible friends could not clear in first and even in two attempts.. They r really genuinly eligible...

So, i think its of no use to think in this way..

Sorry MR. MANMOHAN I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH YOU

for me then i hv to go to PE-II ONLY.... I SAW THE FOLLOWING ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY AFTER SUBMITTING PE-II EXAM FORM...THOUGH I CONVERTED TO IPCC ON 31/7/09...i GOT EXEMPTION IN AUDITING & LAW. THIS JUNE...SO FOR ME A/C & GROUP-2 LEFT..I AM GOING WITH PE-II ...:-

Right .

our President wrote in january 2010 Student News Letter That ''there are certain misnomers in the minds of students of chartered accountancy.some of You feel that the Institute MODERATES the results.i wish to reaffirm that we do not undertake any moderation that is directed towords reducing the results. The interest of the students are utmost in our minds. The results truly reflects your performance in the examination."

I personally not statisfied from above statement..i want only 1 thing from ICAI that if they do not moderate our results than allows us to apply for Revaluation of answer book instead of verification of Marks. i am doubting on Paper checker.

Regarding Bias ICAI must clarify student thoughts.

DEAR SIR,

I CLARIFIED ABOUT IT LAST TIME ALSO. THAT IF YOU HAVE SUCH TYPE OF PROBLEM.THEN WHY YOU ARE HESITATING???????????? GO  DIRECTLY ON WEBSITE OF INSTITUTE AND ASK THEM ABOUT THEIR BIASNESS.

IF YOU FEEL THAT AN INSTITUTE  POSSESING INTERNATIONAL  LEVEL CAN DO SUCH TYPE OF WORK IN WHICH REPRESENTATIVES OF ALL PARTS OF INDIA ARE PRESENT IN BOARD , THEN THIS THINKING WILL AMOUNT AS """"KHYALI PULAV""".

BUT EVEN IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH THIS, YOU CAN WRITE TO INSTITUTE ON MAIL ACCOUNT ALSO.

i agree with manmohan's doubt.last time also the toppers were from rajasthan; the place of UPA.moreover, the results of pcc are getting delayed.there is not even an announcement of the date of results.i think something is happening behind the scenes.all these suspicious situations commenced in the UPA era.

fortunately, the rank holders of final under old scheme and new scheme are from southern region.but apart from them, the others who wrote the final had scored very badly

DEAR SANDEEP,

As you said that fortunately ranks for final are from south. Then how you can blame the institute. If you have doubt that institute can do this, then no need to fear, we are also against the biasness. But nothing will happen only by saying here, we have to take action and raise the matter on institute's website. And take participation in national conventions and other events organized by institute and raise matter against them.

 DEAR Aldrine sir,

One of my friend vishal gave two times exam from Udaipur, rajasthan. Thereafter his family got transferred to Chennai and he passed both group with good marks. So it doesn't make a basis for highlighting the biasness. And if you talk about local language, then I want to inform you that local language of Rajasthan is marawadi. All languages are good sir.

Facts are that sir only 1-2 out of 100 student give exam in Hindi medimum in Rajasthan.

And Hindi is chosen as medium for exam only because at that time in constitution it is approved by al leaders.  Even today we read, write, speak in English, even it is not our mother tongue.

So if we go on your suggestion that everyone will demand that paper should be conducted in their own language and that day will not be far where many demands for different states will arise like- telangana.

AND SIR, YOU ARE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT , YOU CAN RAISE THIS MATTER IN ELECTIONS WITH YOUR COLLEAGUES.

sir,

we haven't sacrificed even a 1% compare to ancient india. leave this sir, i want to say that language is not a problem. a person who can prepare in tamil, malylam, bangali, he can prepare in any language sir.

sir, even i was from hindi and sanskrit medium but i had  to change my medium to english , because no availability of good classes in that language and i passed pcc both group.  in udaipur june 2009 only 41 students passed out of 641 students and from our class only 4 students passed out of 100. that was shocking because we were expecting 10 students in our batch. so sir, this is not a big issue. we have to study hard for that only.

and as you said about transfers, the problem is that it is in favour of chartered accountants so no CA rose a voice against it. and student rose voice against it. so, transfer's time period is extended for a month in 2009.

sir,

i think we should collectively discuss  that what can be done on this in stead of clarifying each other's opinion.
