Is HRA and conveyance allowance mandatory in salary structure. Can only basic be given as salary.

yes....hra n convy allo is not mandatory
it's not mandatory... it is an additional allowance given by employer to employees. yes only basic can be given as salary
Conveyance allowance is not mandatory. However, for house rent you have to refer to your State law, if any. For Maharashtra you may refer Maharashtra Workmen Minimum House Rent Allowance Act 1988:
