Okay, so I'm writing the IPCC in Novemeber 2012, going to start coaching etc etc in mid-february.

I was wondering what you guys think if I take a 15 odd day break and go on vacation in July? I'll be back on the 21st of july. So I will still have 3 full months to go after I come back and I'm ready to put in ALL efforts before I leave as well.

(It's not really a vacation, but more like an international study visit where there will be 100's of students from other countries- and I really don't want to miss out on this wonderful experience)

I really want this experience and I know I can manage Group 1 easily..and with some additional hard work maybe even group two. What do you guys think??

It wouldn't really make THAT much of a difference would it? Plus I'm relatively smart, intelligent and independant.

Appreciate the help guys!! :D

Perfectly fine, I think there should'nt be any impact upon your prepration.

15 days brk is not a big deal. but ur excitement say something more .........

As per my guess...u r not going to study for atleast a month seriously. bcz 15 days tour and then 15 days its excitement....

n abt ur prep :-

U can prepare for both groups easily. if u show  dedication and even a  month brk won't be a big deal Just enjoy to ur best and till the study tour make a plan which u can follow   heartily.

best of luck ...

cheers

Three months would be sufficient for preparation of your exams. Since you are taking a fifteen days long break, it is advisable that you start off with preparation now itself. You will be in a comfort zone when you come back.
