ask your client's address in pan card, and i presume that he has not changed the address in pan card, so the refund has been routed to pan card address.

question is not online or offline, department always follow the address from pan card data, and MICR code from the return filed. 

normally it comes within 30 days, if not recd then contact the ITO of the respective ward.
