Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies interest liability for late GSTR 3B filings in GST. Even if a challan is paid before the due date, interest will be charged if the GSTR 3B return is filed after the due date. This is because tax is only considered paid once the liability is offset in the return, not just when the cash ledger is funded.

Only late fine will be charged.

Yes there will be interest if the return is filed after the due date even though the payment is made to cash ledger. This is because in GST untill we offset the liability it would not be considered as payment of tax.
Agree with CA Rashmi ji.
Yes interest for belated adjustment and penalty
Thanks everyone
