An indemnity bond is a document that provides a guarantee or protection to the department against any potential losses or claims. Here's a general format for an indemnity bond: *INDemnity Bond* *Know all men by these presents* *That I* [Your Name], son/daughter of [Father's/Husband's Name], resident of [Your Address], (hereinafter referred to as "the undersigned") *Do hereby undertake and bind myself* to indemnify and keep indemnified the *[Department Name]* (hereinafter referred to as "the department") against any and all losses, claims, demands, actions, proceedings, damages, costs, and expenses that may arise or be incurred by the department in connection with the refund of excess TDS paid by me. *I* [Your Name] *do hereby declare* that I am the rightful owner of the TDS refund and that I have not assigned or transferred my rights to anyone else. *I* [Your Name] *do hereby undertake* to refund the amount to the department if it is found that the refund was made in error or if I have made any misrepresentation or concealment of facts. *This indemnity bond* shall be in full force and effect until the department has confirmed in writing that the refund has been processed and the amount has been credited to my account. *IN WITNESS WHEREOF* I have executed this indemnity bond on [Date]. *Signature*: ______________________________ *Name*: ________________________________ *Address*: ______________________________ Please note that this is a general format, and you should modify it as per the department's requirements or consult a legal expert to review and finalize the bond. Also, ensure you keep a copy for your records. Remember to submit the indemnity bond along with any other required documents to the department, and they will process your TDS refund.

Hello Narayanan Ji.

Just wanted to know did you get the refund. What is the complete process. I am also applying for refund.

Thank You

Hi sir

I got the refund within 15 days. If u have any dues in income tax or TDS it will be adjusted.

Indemnity bond duly motorized is important to claim refund. After applying  on line u have to send the print out along with challan and indemnity bond by courier.

This is the process.

Narayanan
