What is the difference between Impairment of Assets and Down ward Revaluation of Assets.

impairment is permanent in nature.. its that the value of assets have been degraded permanently in market.. if I put a example like because of introduction of electronic vehicle the value of petrol and diesel vehicles may be decrease.. but if u look at downward revaluation.. its like your vehicle loosed its value because of wear and tear obsolescence. no such difference has been prescribed under ind as.. its form my general understanding
Hlo sunil thanks for ur reply, But under both concepts, we are bringing the value of asset into fair value. Why two concepts for same meaning..??
