I agree with Mahesh.

There are only few principals who pay higher stipend. Nobody cares about articled assistants. We are treated as "Cheap Bonded Labour".

Learning as well as Earning, both should go side by side.....

ya i too agree wit u...... icai should increase the stipend

Hey Friends if we get salary we can ask for the Higher pay we are the students not the employees. We just came here to learn and to get experienced. so it is the great thing that we are getting stipend. It is not rational to ask a higher pay. If you guys too become a CA's will think of it. So what ever we get is best and higher than the other professional students. So Be happy.

i agree with S. susheela's point of view....that we are going in office to take experience, as we are trainees & not employees........ but partly i agree with mahesh also, bcoz many of my frnz who are very laborious & dedicated to their work,are still getting very low stipend compared to the life standard of metros... & hike in inflation...

Yes there is no other way thats the bottom line.

see 2006 ka 1000 rs 2010 ka 1000rs kyase ho sakta hay. and another thing many of my frinds were getting 700-800 as stipend .and any of them were not getting it for quite a few months.belive me or not its reality.   Sir   Ayush u r from kolkata so u would know it better.

i agree with u samarjit.....i am also from kolkata and there is loads f difference between the 1000 rs. in 2006 ad 1000 rs. in 2010

but i don't agree with u

if there are any articles who are going office just to spend their 6 official hours & that don't know what is going on in office, then their principle better terminate them & never spoil the there vital years of someone's carrear this way. 

there might be only 10% such articles in india as per my opinion.

The stipend must be raised because as per central goverment policy, the minimum daily wages are also higher then the minimum daily stipend. 

Though we are not workers at office we must receive something, that is worth the value of work that is done by an article at offfice.

This is what i feel as per my experience.

arey yaar stipend mat badhao. par articleship ka time itna lamba hai usko kam kar do i.e. from 3.5 years to 2 years max.
