Income tax refund

Dear Sir,

I had filed my client IT Return through e-filing in the financial year 2008-09 and my client was having a refund of Rs 2.50 lacs but the said amount is still not credited in my account so what should i do Shall i directly write mail to IT or should i contact sbi please let me know the procedure so that at earliest i an get my refund.

Hi,You can write to AO but if you meet personnaly  to Your ward AO you will get a proper reply.

You can write to the jurisdictional assessing Officer, before whom you have filed your return. Please file before him proof of your having filed the return with a copy of the acknowledgment in evidence. If still you do not get  any response, you can write to the grievance cell under the Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, furnishing similar information, including the fact your contacting the assessing Officer. Thy are promptly attending to such queries and facilitate early settlement.

well, u'll receive the refund soon...may be before the end of this financial year.
