My client received income tax notice under sec.143 for return filed for fy 16-17
Showing less interest paid hence we pay amt. as per demand. But client paid as basic tax instead of interest.
Now it necessary to pay again interest amt.?
Also we have to submit revised return?
how to rectify the payment error?
We have filed above return under presumptive income scheme
There would not be any problem even if you have selected basic tax instead of interest.
Section that you have quoted in subject is 143(3). Confirm whether it is correct or not.
