the last day of filing itr-4 was 31.03.2012 for A.Y. 2011-12

bt if u fill now than it will be ok, but income-tax department can demand a penalty of Rs.5000/- for each assessment year.

if tax is payable interest will also be applicable u/s 234A,B & C.

The last date in your case would be March2013 which is in accordance with section 139(4).  If an assessee fails to file his return on or before the due date , then he shud file it within one eyar from the end of relevant A.Y.

In your case the relevant A.Y is 2011-12 so one year from Mar12 would be Mar13.

The last date for filing tax return for AY 2011-12 has expired.  However, if you still wish to file return, you may approach your AO to issue a notice under Section 142(1).
