i want notes for income tax...specially for salary chapter. can anyone gimme guide how to study for income tax my attempt is in nov 09? i will write only first group of IPCC...how to study for income tax...salary chapter is so lengthy....

Salary is not a lengthy chapter. Start slowly and go indepth u will find it intersting. 1st start from the defination of salary and the defination of employer and employee. Once u r clear with this u will find it intersting. Then u can go for the valuation of perquisites and after that come for other thing like gratuity, commuted pension, leave encashment etc. be focused and clear on the provision and adjustment for all the sec. 10 items.
