i m going to file my I.T return for 1st time its was suppose to be file in july but can i file it now in sep my income is not taxable .can i file 06-07 &07-08 return together in 08-09 ,is there any special procedure for new assesse or to file in like other .can i know if income is taxable then tax is paid in cash,chq ,dd which way

if there is no tax to be paid then u can file ur returns by mar-09 or assessment by the AO which ever is earlier.
u can also file the previous years returns also by mar09 or assessment by the AO which ever is earlier.

nayana, u can file ur previous yr return before the due date or, before one yr from the
end of the Assessment yr.
you can file only 07-08 and not 06-07 ass.yrs. return with 08-09 ass. yr return.

If your income is taxable, then you can paid your tax liabilities by cash,chq what ever u like
