Income from pathology lab come under business or professionlab income come under business or profession?

Pathlab itself is business activity, but any fee (& not salaries) paid to doctors/technicians/analyst is professional fee.

Whether path lab is a business or profession ,any case law regarding this matter. 

A pathology lab is treated as a profession if operated by a qualified professional personally engaged in diagnostics.

If the lab is operated as a commercial enterprise like collecting and forwarding samples without professional expertise, it may be treated as a business.
