what will be the income tax on income from debt fund in mutual fund ?

according to short term or long term.. in short term 15% or long term is exempted u/s 10(38)!!! plz correct if i m wrong
long term capital gain on debt fund is also taxable. Only long term capital gain on Equity funds are exempt u/s 10(38)
