IN EPF approvals using DSC

To approve employee KYC using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) on the EPFO Employer Portal, you must first ensure your DSC is registered and active.

Step 1: Prerequisites

• Valid DSC: You must have a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate.

• Driver & Utility: Ensure the USB token driver is installed on your computer. You may also need to install the current "EPFO DSC Signer" utility from the portal.

• System Configuration: Use a browser (like Chrome or Edge) that supports the EPFO portal’s signing requirements.

Step 2: Registering the DSC (If not already done)

If your DSC is not yet linked to your account:

1. Log in to the EPFO Unified Employer Portal.

2. Navigate to the 'Establishment' tab and select 'DSC/e-SIGN'.

3. Click on 'Register DSC'.

4. Enter the authorized signatory details exactly as they appear in the DSC.

5. Select 'Sign with your USB token'.

6. When prompted, select your certificate from the list, enter your Token PIN, and click 'OK'.

7. Once the system shows a success message, the status will move to pending until it is approved by the EPFO office.

Step 3: Approving Employee KYC

Once your DSC is registered and approved by the department, follow these steps to approve pending KYC:

1. Log in to the EPFO Employer Portal.

2. Navigate to the 'Member' tab.

3. Select 'Approve KYC Pending for DS/E-sign'.

4. Select the specific employee records you wish to approve.

5. Click on 'Sign with DSC'.

6. Insert your USB token when prompted, select your certificate, and enter your PIN.

7. Click 'Sign and Approve'. The portal will process the request, and the employee's status will be updated upon successful validation.
