Important - ICAI's Initiative

My dear Members and Students,

 The new millennium is upon us and the changes sweeping across the globe are dramatic indeed. ICAI has progressed steadily into the new millennium. I am keen to take ICAI into the next level by adopting the latest Digital Technology to make the entire organization and its services easily accessible to all the stakeholders across India and the globe, increase transparency and improve efficiency & effectiveness. This vision is being translated into a project named “Parivartan”. I as President of the Institute have taken up the mandate to spearhead the program.

 The Project ‘Parivartan’ is conceived with an idea of taking ICAI to a qualitatively new way of working which would bring together both aspiring and existing chartered accountants in the country to come together as a CA pariwar . The goal is to create a single tightly integrated system for catering to the entire community of chartered accountants, irrespective of their geographical locations, through the Internet.

 The adoption of ‘Parivartan’ is with the help of Infosys Technologies ltd. Leveraging the domain expertise of Infosys Technologies, the project will take a comprehensive 360 degree view of the existing processes and benchmark them with the global best practices across the world. Suitably change the processes to meet global benchmarks and evolve a roadmap on the Digital Technology that should be used to transform ICAI into a truly Efficient, Transparent and Global organization. All this will be done keeping in mind the demands and needs of all the Internal & External stakeholders of the organization such as Students, Members, Industry, Government and Regulatory authorities.
