Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Goods and Services Tax (GST) implications for services procured from outside India, with payments originating from India. The key consideration is determining the place of supply. If the services are received in India, it is considered an import of service and is subject to the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM).

Why payment made from India? Need to ascertain the place of supply as per provisions. It depends on the nature of service being provided

Outside India only store and profession services provided

If payment is being made from India then it is import of service liable to RCM
