ENTRY TO THE COURSE |
These are offered only to candidate who are selected on the basis of common entrance tests/ rigorous examinations. Only the cream of student community enters these institutions/courses. |
The course is open to all who qualify in the entrance examination CPT, irrespective of their earlier academic excellence. |

NATURE OF THE COURSE |
Essentially residential. |
Non residential course with theoretical education& practical on the job training . |

STUDY MATERIALS |
Students are provided with various study materials. They also have good library and reference facilities. |
ICAI provides each student with study materials. Library facilities are also available to students. a wide range of reference books are available. |

ATTENDING CLASSES AND LECTURES |
Students attend and listen to lectures by expert faculty, almost daily on regular basis. Since the course is residential, attending classes is compulsory. |
Attending coaching classes is purely optional. The course is primarily distance education but practical experience is provided by means of articleship training. |

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES |
Students involve themselves in workshops, seminars, group discussions, project work etc. these are predominantly compulsory. |
ICAI conducts workshops, seminars and conferences on varied subjects. Attendance and participation is however optional. |

INTERACTIONS WITH THE ACADEMICIANS |
Students have interactions with other students and faculty members on a day to day basis. |
Interaction with the expert faculty members is available only to those who wish to attend coaching classes. However the student learns the practical aspects of various subjects during his training period. |

TIME SPENT IN A DAY FOR STUDIES |
Students spend at least 15hrs a day for studying, including the time for attending classes and preparing in the night for the next day’s classes. |
The time spent by a student is not prescribed or forced. Only those students who are serious about their career, utilize their time in the most effective fashion. |

NATURE OF ENVIRONMENT |
The student is put in a highly competitive environment and rigorous academic environment. He is forced to study and do well in such circumstances. |
The environment is highly competitive, but few students realize its nature. The institute expects every student to be self-disciplined |
