Idt bangar's case laws vs icai case laws!

Case laws given in bangar's IDT book does not matches with ICAI select case laws book..why is it so?? Are cases in bangar's book are not required to be prepared or they are additional..does anyone knew?

Bangar case laws r vry latest....it will b sufficient if u prepare from icai booklet plus rtp case laws...

There are some of the cases which is not reported in ICAI book, gets covered in Bangars book in order to provide the candidates information on some legal suits being decided by the Honorable Tribunals or High courts.

I suggest you to cover all the case laws given in ICAI material and if there is any extra cases reported in Bangars book, take it as a bonus and write it in the exam, if asked, as the examiner would be impressed, if he is aware of the latest developments.

In may 2016, Dt exam question no. 4 (a) case law based question. As per Gurukirpa suggested answer, they refer case of yamaha motors pvt ltd. Related to 4 (a) question. But I haven't find this case law in icai book (select cases in dt and idt tax laws). I also check last 2 Rtp. Question no. 4 ( b) Taparia tools ltd.

4 (c) Relaince ind. Ltd.

4 (e) Bagat construction co.

Also these 3 cases, I never found in any where in the icai book. Then that means icai book and rtp is not sufficient for case law. My attempt is in Nov 2016. I am so nervous. Because in may 2016 exam out of 5 case laws, I found only one that is Amit jain case. Please suggest me what I do buy any other book.
