ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governanace, 2009

Dear Madam/Sir,
In pursuit of excellence and to identify, foster and reward the culture of evolving globally acceptable standards of corporate governance among Indian companies, the Institute instituted the ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance in the year 2001.
As we march forward, the process of identifying the best governed corporates for the year 2009 has begun. The awardee companies shall be conferred the Award at a function to be held on December 19, 2009 at International Convention Hall, Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, Mumbai.
The awardee companies are identified by Hon’ble Jury comprising persons enjoying pre-eminence in their respective fields. Hon’ble Justice Shri R C Lahoti, Former Chief Justice of India , has very kindly consented to be the Chairman of Jury.
To enable us to consider your company in this process of conferment of the Award, we enclose a Questionnaire and request you to fill in the same and send to the Institute either by e-mail to alka.kapoor @ icsi.edu or through post. The Questionnaire has also been placed on the Institute’s Website www.icsi.edu and can be downloaded from the website in the word format.
The Second Questionnaire will be sent to the companies that will be short-listed for the Award on the basis of their response to the First Questionnaire.
We also solicit your cooperation in arranging to provide five copies of latest Annual Report of your company immediately for further action at our end. The duly filled in Questionnaire may be sent, so as to reach the Institute latest by 25th September 2009.
