I am sure it must hav been very stressful for your friend... Let me just say something here bhai..  like one student to another....

There are very few people who actually get positive result from verifying answer sheets.. your friend is lucky to be one among them... this paper IT/SM we dont know what basis they are giving marks... those who wrote badly get high marks and those who wrote well aer only scraping thru... I am sure he wrote that paper well, 42 is a surely fabricated number...

Your friend's case is not isolated yaar...  ICAI has to apologise to him, if not compensate him.... but we students are unfortunately in no position to stand up against institute... That is the stark reality of CA course... Institute's BESHARAM behaviour "chalta hai". :(

Meanwhile tell your friend to be happy that he has cleared in that sitting..... Tell him to COME OUT OF THIS SHOCK and follow up his mark list of June attempt  immediately..

But pls yaar, i am advising you pls dont go for fight with ICAI, they'll remember even if we dont....

Regarding one month extra leave, what is there friend, he can sort it with his principal........ maybe he can work off one month when he has written final and sitting 2 months idle for result....

Please dont let your friend go into dejection, show him things from positive angle or he wil lose faith to write final... The moment we lose our positivity, this course is unfit for us...

I agree with G K.... ask your friend to be calm... you never know.. now a days institute is making all sort of fussy things and making the students unhappy.....

Even one of my friend cleared the CA in retotalling only... however she has appeared for the one exam in the next attempt fortunately that only she got the letter from Institute that she has cleared in the previous attempt itself...

Every other way institute is making money and if we go and argue or fight against their mistakes we have to do that all the time since our enrolment as CA student.

Believe me its not only for the students our institute making such things, also so many practising chartered accoutants are facing other issues with the institute... so just leave it....

I think the matter should be adressed to President , board of studies and if no response will given the matter should be addressed to :-

1. HRD Ministry

2. Human rights

when institute not co-operate with the needies in regulating Pass percentages

WHY SHOULD WE?

ths is completely not possible my frnd, ICAI cant do such kind of blunder, as we know that many big qualified professionals are examining  the  answersheet. how they could do ths. i cant trust ths really.

sometimes this mistakes happens. anyway it affects the career and health of the student.

The institute should have multi cross check facility before the results being declared to the public.

we must hope that Institute have learned the lesson from this incidence.

Plz place this incidence before our President.

Lets not worry that things like this will happen to us, cos then we will have time for that only...... just study, write the exam and pray to god that this type of bad luck wont befall us.....

It happens in universities also.. so the element of disbelief has to go yaar... errors are human.... ICAI's krupa and thick skin is there to at least rectify the error for students...

Guys what are you waiting for? Just go into the media. ICAI notices such things quickly when it comes in media (whether print or television). At least people will be aware that such incidences happen even in ICAI.

cant we  bring it to the notice of Institute?....they should knw we are raising sound against their blind valuation n all....its realy sad wen come to knw dat people who don hav evn ny idea of the sub getting passed.....its my xperance also...hw can v blve institute then...........?its sooo bad.....

I SUGGEST YOU SHOULD GO THROUGH SICASA STUDENT CHAIRMAN, LEADER AND MEMBERS OF SICASA WHO ARE WORKING FOR STUDENT WELFARE,  FOR JUSTICE.

HOWEVER NOW LETS TAKE THIS ISSUE A BIT BITTER AND NOT BLAME THE INSTITUTE AS A WHOLE, LETS WAIT FOR SICASA TO RESPOND.

I SUGGEST TO GO DIRECTLY TO ICAI OFFICE AND SEEK EXPLANATION.....!!!!!

I would like to share my own experience here as the same incident happened to me during my inter exams in May 2003.Though i lost valuable six months time,  i took it in a real spirit manner  and prepared for the remaining exams and got success. Today i am a qualified chartered accountant. I dont suggest making any complaint , petition etc against the institute as it will  affect  his preparation for the final exam.

deepak mere lal .Copy is checked by so called "BIG QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS" but the marks are  recorded by the clerks .so u should have to blv on it.okkkkk.
