Dear sir,

My HRA for 9 months is Rs.62100/- and for 3 months of jan,feb and march 10 is Rs.39000/-.

I have paid the rent of Rs.10000/- per month for 12 months.

Hence, my HRA rebate is 91500/-.  But my disbursement officer is allowing only 84300/- .  on pro rata basis.

Pl. clarify.

thanks

Dera Sir,

In case of HRA Least of the following is exempt -

1) HRA recevied

2) Rent Paid - 10% Of Salary

3) 50% of Salary in case of Metros & 40% in case House is situated in other cities

Salary would include = Basic + DA(under terms of Employment) + Fixed % Commision on Turnover

Plz check with these limits

Dear Friend,,,

For HRA Exemption You can observe below things....

1) Actual Rent Paid less 10% of basic Salary.    xxxxx

2) Actual HRA Received                                          xxxxx

3) 40% of Basic (in case of A1 cities 50%)         xxxxxx

Which ever is lowest in above three amounts should be the your HRA exemption.

i think your Basic salary 168600/-, Hence you will be elgible for 50% of basic salary i.e. 84300/-..
