One thing that you have realise is that you gave lost track of your studies during all these years. Therefore, more efforts would be needed.
1. Buy latest amended books and study material.
2. Buy online coachings, and just go through them. Don't feel that you're unable to understand, Just go through them.
3. By now, you must have a good feel about how things work and how chapters are connected with each other.
4. pick up your favorite subjects. and start with them.
5. prepare your hand written summary notes. Don't refer any other notes use your own notes.
6. Give a mock of that subject. Understand where you lack.
7. Repeat this process. until you're confident enough.
First you need to do re-registration for finals. then for study,

CA final has two courses as of now:
Old course- similar to course & subjects 7 years ago.
New Course: New Subject, new pattern.

Since you'll be starting from the beginning, I would suggest you do with the new course. For Study:

Buy the latest version of study material from online site of ICAI CDS. (you'll find on Google).

As far as Subjects & courses are concerned:

FR- You can study from Praveen Sharma books or if you're facing problems in some topics can take some online classes/Pen Drive classes.

SFM- No change in last 7 years. You can read from Book SD Bala or refer leaked video of Aditya Jain or Sanjay Saraf.

Auditing: Self Study from Pankaj Garg book or from Vinod Aggarwal

Law: Again a self study, You should refer Munish Bhandari's book.

Group 2

AMA: You can refer a teacher online or if you can take classes, then go to Parag Gupta or Sanjay Agarwal.

Elective Paper: You've to choose one subject - Risk Management, International taxation, & others.

Direct Tax: Again a self study refer VG book Summary or if you want to take classes go with Bhanwar Borana's (Pendrive).

Indirect Tax: Read from Bangar book. If you want to take classes then Pen drive classes from Vishal Bhattad's (Pendrive) very good teacher.

There is a slight change from old course. I have suggested for New course since you'll be studying from scratch.

Any other questions, I'll reply back.

How do i re register for cafins after a gap of 7 yrs

Going back to school after a long break is never easy. A forced break tightly grasps you in its arms and does not let you go. So how do you get back on track after a long break, with as little resistance as possible?

  1. Come back gradually.  Don't demand too much from yourself in the first days. After the vacations, it's hard for everyone to get caught up in their studies. Psychologists advise not to overburden yourself in the first days and to conserve strength. After a holiday in the study rhythm should go gradually. No need to go 150% in the first day. Everyone tolerates breaks in learning activities in their own way. There are even such unique people who can not rest for a long time and feel in great shape. As a rule, they plunge into the study with their heads immediately, without staggering. But there are those who, even after a day of relaxation, then long come to their senses. Psychologists explain this difference by the type of our temperament. Phlegmatic and melancholic always hard to change the type of activity, long to get up and go to work. Sanguine and choleric quickly change environments, but also burn out faster. However, to change their type of temperament, we can not. But to do a couple of tricks to come back after a break to work was easier - easily.
  2. Start small, solve creative problems. Small tasks after a vacation are easier than global plans. In the first days of study you can deal with accumulated work: to bring order to your desk, in your organizer, to remember what the priority tasks from last year, some students even buy cheap essay, sort out the piggy bank of ideas and discuss plans for the school year. Getting in the mood for work is also well helped by buying office supplies that will be useful to you in your studies.
  3. Study, really study. Studying is the kind of activity that will keep you energized and help you find new ideas and inspiration. Read literature, watch training videos. Of course, after the vacations there is a rapid fatigue and such complaints are regarded as laziness and unwillingness to learn. So if it is very hard for you to get back in line, then study in an easy free mode.

I hope my tips are great to help you get back on track!
