How to pass Taxation subject of IPCC in 1st atempt?

concentrate on basic theory of each chapter . it is the key to solve the practicals

u can reffer taxmann book

Marks distribution in tax say

VAT                      -25 marks

SERVICE TAX     -25 marks

so,try to prepare dis two chap througly...u will surely score..approx..

40 to 50 marks...

to be on the safer side...prepare PGBP,Capital Gain,And Deduction..

if u do dis much u will pass in TAX..

but for exmption...u have to opt for..some referance...

acco. to me V.K.Singania is best....

Tips for Taxation

Try Manoharan Sir's Tax book exclusive for IPCC. Its really good.

 It covers all areas and is easily understandable.

Understand the Basic concepts of taxes that will surely helpful for the tricky questions.

If you do this, sure of not only getting pass mark, sure of getting exemption too :)
