How to pass Audit Paper???

I am appearing Audit PE2 paper this june and am really nervous regarding how should i cope up with this subject. I failed earlier with a score 46 and eventually landed with 147 in group 1.

I need some really expert suggestions/advise to atleast guide me to have a score of 50+ in Audit paper.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. I have been following good reference notes, publications and following institute language to score high with due importance to Internal audit, Vouching and company audit.

2. The problem ishow to impress the examiners even after following good language and up2the point answers.

3. Also, after referring AAS and SAP's and including suitable cases as reference to support my answer i failed to score 50+

Where am i lacking???? :o plzz suggest !!! :(

Dear Chirag,

Points to be covered while studying Audit................

1. Give more emphasis on case laws relating AS & AAS and companies act case laws pertaining to appointment , qualification & disqualification....(To impress examiner u have to specify relevant AS/AAS/ Relevant section of companies act along with some explanation in an introductory paragraph). Write specific answers.....!!! (It will cover your 36 marks)

2. Go for vouching of 16 Marks (4 marks each) as they are really scoring. In vouching & Verification specify the key points like what all documents are to checked at the time of audit , authorization level & other relevant matters needs to be involved.

3. Go for Internal audit question (relating to audit of Hospitals , Charitable trusts, co-operative society ,etc.)..............prepare a check list which are mostly common & needs to be covered at the time of audit (covering your another 16 marks.)

4. Go for 4 marks questions as they are scoring then 8/16 marks...............

i am appearing for ca finals in june 2009. i want to score 55 to 60mks in audit paper. pls suggest me. last attempt i scored 52 marks.

dear chirag when u attempt ur audit paper then think practically that question as u do in ur articleship.and dont write cram language then u get good marks.
