Quick Summary
This discussion explores methods for finding specific sections within the Income Tax Act, particularly useful for interview scenarios. The key advice is to first understand the context and then utilise the Act's index and headnotes. Checking footnotes for amendments is also recommended for completeness.

First of all you should know which section is applicable in specific circumstances. For e. g. in case of house property.. the charging section is section 22, deductions are applicable as per section 24 etc.
Actually it is an interview question of big for ,they ask a candidate to find a section in bare of a income tax act. Suppose we want to find sec 24 in bare how can we do it???
In the bare Income tax Act, the sections are written in the index and as a head note. You have check the index as well as the head note. Further, the reference is also provided for any amendments in the foot note.
