How to find gst provisional id with pan

Hi,

Though one can find the GST number online on the GST website itself using the PAN number, but there seems to be a persistent technical issue with the website as of now.

But one can also try to figure out the GSt number using PAN number by forming the GST number themselves as:

The first two digits are the state code in the file attached.

The next ten letters is the PAN number itself.

The next 13th digit would be alpha-numeric (1-9 and then A-Z) and would be assigned depending upon the number of Registrations a legal entity (having the same PAN Number) has within the State.

The 14th digit would be kept BLANK  which is mostly "Z" by default and is fixed for future use.

The 15th Digit will be a random check digit.

So, one can definitely try forming the GSt number with the PAN itself.
