Hi,

I am reappearing for this june pcc attempt. Am confused as to how to go about completing my portions in these 3 months given my schedules at office for 5 days a week. Considering my marks in nov'08 attempt, i scored above 50 in all theory papers and couldnt cross 40 in any of the practical papers. Kindly guide me through this. I am in need of help.

hi ashwin..

how many days of study leave do u have??

since u''ve already had an attempt, i guess now u can sit for each subject at a stretch , it wud be helpful..

law in group 1 and info tech and s.m in group 2 are easy to score above 60 but no one gives much importance.. so be sure to score high in these sibjects..

for costing, accounts, f.m, - practical papers.. go for continous study of 2 weeks each and complete the entire subject.. find out the exam oriented topics from good books ( like padukas).. and keep revising on a continous basis..

above all, since u have just 3 more months left, make sure u prepare an overall timetable, and follow it consistently.

Hi san....

Thanks for ur reply.....

However, I am given 2 months of study leave from Apr1 onwards, but till then i have got to go to offiice. Shd i allocate 2 weeks for each of the papers like accs, costing and tax during this leave period or from now itself. I feel i am ok when it comes to theory papers, but  the lack of sufficient practice in the practical papers was the cause of low scores. How shd i address this problem? How much of my time shd i devote to the theory papers revision?

You must start to solve problems of practical subject papers.

u shud start preparing now itself.
since u dont have much time before april, it wud be better if u start preparation for practicals from april onwards only.

before u get ur study leave in april, try to finish a gud portion of ur theory. so that u can devote more time for practicals from april onwards.

before april, concentrate on law, info tech as these can be easily scored high marks. and auditing (as much as u can).

from april 1st, for practicals, divide costing and f.m as two subjects. then make a timetable for each chapter of acc's, fm , costing and tax. and hw much u wud need for each chapter. on a rough estimate, u will need around 14 days for costing, 12 days for acc's, 8 for taxation and 8 for f.m.

as the saying goes 'if u dont have enough time from day, steal it from the night'.
limit ur sleeping time.
say NO to anything and anyone that wont contribute to ur exam during these months atleast.

hope this helps dude.

THANKS SAN............

Thanks a lot san.......

I WOULD SUGGEST YOU ALL THAT CONCENTRATE ON IMPORTANT AND LIKELY TOPICS OF PRACTICAL PAPERS LIKE IN ACC DO INSURANCE ,ELECTRICITY AND BANKING AC DO REMEMBER FORMATS & DONT EVER MISS OUT PARTNERSHIP ,BRANCH A/C AND SINGLE ENTRY .DO REFER PAST PAPERS ,TRY TO FIND OUT TREND AND STUDY LIKEWISE.JUST CONCENTRATE ON STUDY BUT KEEP MYOR MIND COOOOL ITS MORE IMPORTANT, BEST OF LUCK JUYS!!!!!
