How to claim HRA for Pension

My confusion is : He has his own house in his native and he is paying rent in Delhi. Can he still claim HRA? Would it require to show some notional rent for his own house?

AS in my opinion  ur father may not avail HRA exemption ..

due to ..

1) Condition failed under sec.80GG due to having Own home in India

2) HRA Salary definition failed  under sec.10(13 A) and rule 2A

just it is my opinion dude ..

You can claim HRA if you fulfill these three conditions:  



~ You have an HRA allowance as part of your salary package.

~ You are staying in a rented accommodation and paying rent for it. 

~ The rent exceeds 10% of your salary.

Pension is not annexed with any allowances, hence HRA benefit not available,.
