20 March 2013I want calculation of maharastra profession tax.
How profession tax calculated for salary on employee working in Private limited company? Are present days in a month affect profession tax amount or is it calculated on Basic salary? Should I consider any other allowable or deductions other than salary while calculating profession tax?

The manner of computation of Professional Tax is different for different states... Which state are you talking about ?
