How much time on an average it takes to prepare both grps?

8 Months are more than enough to crack both the groups, don't even think twice for attempting both the groups.

You just need to balance out time and adjust your working hours ( If any ).

8 mnths r not enough but also not less....... it is possible,,.. but 2nd grp will take maximum time

I had only 2 nd half mnths tym for my final 1st attempt in May'12..as ws having full day tutions till mid of feb.

still I had d guts to think of bth grps !!

i started study..bt in mid of March due 2 health issue I could not study for approx 10-12dyz

den i left 2nd grp cz of lack of tym...

I cleared 1st grp wid 220 mrks

nd had studied bit of 2nd grp...secured 133 mrks !!

So nothing is Impossible dear..u still have 8 mnths

Have faith nd Confidence !!

even 5 month time is sufficient....what you have to do is to study smartly and systamatically......
