Today 7 th june is the last date for payment of tds of month of may 2015 .but today is sunday. so plz confirm is today the last date or tomorrow last date now with 7th being sunday.
also if payment is not made before wednesday will the interest be 1.5 % or 3 % ( as rule says delay of 1 day makes interest 3 %. in which situation will interest on tds for late payment be 1.5 % and in which cases it will be 3 %.
Plz advise.
you should have made the payment yesterday itself. Now the interest will be computed at 3%.
If exp is paid/credited on 20 apr, tds also deducted on 20 apr, remitted on may 8, int should be only 1.5% right?? i didn understand how its 3%
it is 3% because once you miss the due date, the interest is computed for each month or part of the month from the date of deduction (instead of due date)
