you can go to forgot passwrod on income tax site and then fill the details and secret question to change the password

Click on Forget Passward

A Option is open to reset your Password , Please enter New password and Confirm new Password, you have received activation link in your mail account , Go & activate your Link .

My issue is that my client forgot his ans for secret ques....now what to do

i am trying to get register for PAN MCA WEBSITE, but I am unable to register due to error saying Father name does not match, i have physical PAN card with me where Father's name is printed single name now pls advise how to search the actual data submitted in the PAN viz Father's name / surname / etc

Just call them  to ask the details entered in IT Databsse

choose forget password option

select a/y 2008-09 of efiling ( whether return efiled or not )

enter ack no. 987654321300708

enter new password

plz try it and share the results

In forgot option they are asking for secret ques. only because return was not e-filed earlier they are not asking for Ack. No.
