Hello friends,
I have a manufacturing unit of LAM Coke in Kachchh region of Gujarat. I have a query related to VAT input tax credit allowability.
I wish to seek the advice of experts in this community as to whether vat paid on materials like nut bolts, conveyor belts, electric lamps etc and other operational elements purchased can be claimed as input tax credit?
In my opinion they fulfill the purpose of direct relation with the manufacture of finished product and hence should be allowed as ITC. However our tax consultant advices against the same.
I wish to seek to advice on this matter if there is any such provision in Gujarat VAT for not allowing the same?
