Do we have any guidlines for the purpose of setting up a manufacturing unit availing area exemption and another manufacturing unit registered under excise of the same company at same plot of land.

there is no bar to register two factories under same name and style, with exemption availed in one .
you will have to apply for TWO registrations, bounded with factory premises demarcation,
total clearence turnover will get clubbed progressively for two units, for determinng SSI exemption of 400 lacs per annum.
