Gta service
GTA(Individual) provide service to an individual under GTA service category, then is he required to get registere becoz service tax liability transferred on him as SR is a non-specified person. But deptt refused to registered him,, they said he is not required to register as he is not liable to pay service tax. Is there any new notification in this respect? Plz solve this query.

The only case where GTA is liable to pay service tax as service provider is when the person liable to pay freight is an individual. Hence, in your case if the person liable to pay freight is an individual then you need to get registered.
The department cannot deny the registration. The same department not granting registration now may demand penalties for non registration in future.
